The App

As a large organization, over time, Grameenphone accumulated hundreds of systems for various tools and purposes. The company took an initiative to a) Digitize employee experiences and services, and b) reduce dependencies on so many legacy systems as well as reduce human intervensions. The result is OneGP - an all-in-one platform continuously updated to bring in updated services and retiring the legacy ones. With consistently positive feedback from users, the app continues to make an impact on the lives of GP employees.
Challenges
Reduce the redundancy and dependance on multiple systems and improve ease of use for complex tasks
OUTCOME
Retired 60% of outdated systems and unified all tickets under OneGP platform
THE CASE STUDY
One of the biggest advantages of this project was that our users were easily accessible for usability tests. For this project, thanks to the ease of performing usability tests on our colleagues, iterations happened quickly and smoothly.
Dashboard
The dashboard is the first thing users see when they log in to the app. They're greeted by a widget that shows the status of their various benefits and allowances as well as a banner that shows the latest event or significant update about the company. Users enjoyed being able to get quick updates about their benefit schemes without going through complex web systems.
Work Management systems
A lot of interaction have been converted to the mobile to make it possible for employees to take care of administrative dealings quickly and efficiently. This approval system has been implemented across multiple modules such as:
- Approval Management Systems - for all minor and major requisitions and
- Out of Office
Apprentice timesheets
- Overtime
MARKETPLACE
The company wanted the workforce to be more fluid and open to experimentation. We built a digital market place where project managers could post gigs and skilled employees could choose to split their time across organization and lend their expertise outside of their immediate team.
The project was highly praised by the group CTO and similar ideas were initiated in other business units as well
retiring legacy systems
OneGP has been enormously successful in gradually retiring many legacy systems freeing up resources from across the organization in terms of systems to maintain as well man hours required to complete these tasks. The company continues to improve the quality of modules integrated into the system, and working towards providing all services under one platform. OneGP was also used as a platform for other Telenor Business units to build their own employee service app
